Spar shop extension with residential accommodation
Extension of an existing retail space by removing loadbearing walls, and construction of a new second floor apartment above the existing first floor one. Full case study.
Units 1310 & 1320 to 1390 at Gloucester Business Park
New two and three storey commercial office buildings for Arlington Property Services Ltd. These buildings ranged from 6,000 to 20,000 square feet (leasehold and freehold). They incorporated steel framed, composite floored and proprietary clad buildings as well as loadbearing masonry structures on vibrated ground improved soil, with pre-cast concrete floors and timber trussed rafter roofing.
Royal Bank of Canada Regional HQ Building, Barbados
New four-storey reinforced concrete flat slab frame with reinforced masonry cladding constructed adjacent to the country’s listed Parliament buildings. The foundations were piled using driven BSP piles through 20 metres of peat into the underlying coral bedrock. Ground vibration monitoring and control techniques were used to drive the piles.
